Statistics Canada marked Asian Heritage Month and published an infographic with interesting facts about immigration to Canada. For example, 7 of the top 10 places of birth for recent immigrants in 2016 were Asian nations: South Korea, the Philippines, India, China, Iran, Pakistan and Syria. Also, Asia was the region of birth for about half of Canada's immigrant population. Asian immigrants made up 48.1% of all immigrants in 2016.

The Quality of Life Framework for Canada uses factors such as life satisfaction, self-rated mental health, and contentment with the local environment. This infographic below examines the high level of enjoyment in the local environment among the people 15 years and older in Canada's 10 provinces using data from the Canadian Social Survey. People who are satisfied with their immediate surroundings are more likely to report high life satisfaction and mental health levels. Increased life happiness was indicated by 64% of those with high local environment satisfaction. Over half of the people (54%) said they were delighted with their lives.
