Maclean’s List of Top Canadian Universities for 2021

Maclean’s has ranked universities around the world for 30 years to provide important information so students can choose the institution that best suits their learning needs.

The magazine ranks schools with more than 1,000 full-time learners, those that are not restrictive due to religion or a specialized mission, and schools that are members of the national association Universities Canada. The rankings are based on recent and publicly available information.

There are three categories the universities are placed in: Primarily Undergraduate, Comprehensive, and Medical Doctoral. The list is compiled from a survey given to senior administrators, university faculty, and various businesspeople across Canada. They were asked their views on innovation and quality at the different institutions.
